Welcome to todays diary entry! So, here we go! The long work streek is on! 20 days working straight through, containing 1 show in Nottingham, 1 show up near Preston and being in and around HQ in Northwich. We have shows on back to back weekends and this, from my understanding, will be the first time we have ever attempted it. I think because of me being here for the summer it takes the pressure off the Dodge because rather than to deal with it all on your own i can take some of the load away from him.
The shows themselves are the easy part. It is the planning on what to put up, planning what to take with us, planning how we are all going to get there, planning what to do whilst we get there. Then once you have done all of that you get a rest during the shows as all you are doing is having a good time and enjoying yourself and then the packing away and the admin side of things when you get back. Like making sure all the stock is accounted for and making sure nothing or no one got left behind.

With shows that you have previously worked makes it a little easier as you know what to expect when you get there but for new shows it always makes it a little more challenging because you never really know what awaits you. What the pitch is like is it flat is it on a slant. We have a couple of new shows this year, well i say a couple but one is a show we have done before (not me personally) but it is at a different location so not quite sure what to expect but this weekend is a new one for us as is Tribs on the Hill. I am so looking forward to Tribs on the hill as that should be a really good one to actually physically be at.
Todays has mostly been chilling out, the shop was open from 10 until 4pm today so the bulk of the day was spent in there. It was busier than what i expected to be fair but not wildly busy. We also seem to have a bit of nice weather in Cheshire and even at times the sun has popped out to see us. Having nice weather makes such a massive difference at a place like this. It also, most importantly looks nice for the next week or so. Which is lucky that it just seems to be turning for the good as we get closer and closer to show season.
