Diary Entry – 02nd May 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Still feeling like a really really old man my back is causing me quite a bit of grief still so looking forward to Sunday to have a day off and relaxing as after Sunday i am probably not going to have a day off then for the next 20 or so days as we have back to back shows covering the weekends so will be looking at Sunday 26th for my next day off after the 5th. So wish me luck and no doubt i will be telling you all about it. I love the work but perhaps my physical stamina is not what it was last year but will hopefully get much better over the course of the year.

There ain’t no blanket like my favourite blanket

I still have a bad foot from last Dubbed Out that has never been the same but I do need to be physically fitter and I have been threatening that for a long time now and I only have myself to blame that i am considerably more over weight than what i should be and what i want to be but hopefully like i mentioned above hopefully being so busy at work and being extremely active will help trim me down a lot. I do enjoy drinking beers and i have cut down on that a lot. With the exception of tonight as after work i had a couple of flag specials just to remind me of my time in Morocco.

We were due to head to Stoke at the weekend for the last game of the season but because the radiator is booked in I have decided to swerve it and work instead. I don’t want a £200 or £300 problem to become a £2000 problem so we are battening down the hatches. The motorhome roof is prepped for Saturday morning and we are minus one solar panel and minus one TV aerial. I don’t know though who actually uses tv aerials anymore i am pretty certain it is all about the firesticks now.

After the battle to find space on the roof for my 4 solar panels i am now starting to wonder whether we are going to have enough space on the roof for the star link mounting kit. I think we have pretty much decided now that we are going to get one and the question is going to be: Do we mount it on the roof? Do we get it before we go to Morocco or do we get it much sooner? Does it draw a lot of power from the batteries? There is not point getting it if it is going to drain the batteries down ridiculously. I have heard that it can be quite power hungry so once the solar is set up then that is the next thing on the lsit of Moho improvements we are looking to make.
