Welcome to todays diary entry! Doing the brave manly thing I opted against doing the whole hospital thing and just thought I would see how I would fair today. I had an absolutely shambolic sleep for two reasons. The first one was that as my back so in so much pain every single time I needed to readjust my position it was agonising. It was also starting to ache in almost every position so i found myself having to move more frequently than I do normally. Secondly, the Beef had another one of those nights, so at 04:30 he woke up and he was not happy again and it took him about 40 minutes to settle down.
By the time he starts to settle it is 05:15 and I wouldn’t mind if he had his rampages at this time because i can stomach getting up at 5am but there is just something psychological about getting up before 5am, anything that starts with a 4 seems to be late night, where as 5am seems to be early morning. If it was post 5am I would just get up and go about my day writing blogs or something because even if you get straight off to sleep at 5:15 and wake at 7am you will not be feeling particularly brilliant.

When i first woke up and sat at the front of the motorhome I was in even more pain than i was lying in bed. It is something to do with my legs as well because if I am standing I cannot lift my knees up to wards my chest, more so on the left side than the right side. The right side is definitely worse. What is a silly is that i spent a large portion of the night worrying that this was the beginning of something serious, or what if my back never gets better, probably a mini mid life crisis. It just knocked me for 6 i had only experienced something similar in the gym once but that was much higher up and subsided relatively quickly. Once ago though i suppose that may be an age thing.
Funnily enough the more i moved around to be fair the better it got and sort of being on my feet helped as my thighs were not at a right angle with my back which is obviously stretching it uncomfortably. It did get better through out the day as well but i am still no where near as nimble as i should be and i am just hoping that within a few days it will be back to normal as doing Campervan festivals and stuff is not conducive to have a bad back and being unable to life stuff and bend and stretch. I will just have to keep my eye on it over the next day or so.
