Diary Entry – 06th April 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Stuff is getting real now and we are planning stuff left right and centre for when we get back. Not fun stuff mind just motorhome bits and pieces i have been speaking with A and E Leisure who have advised me that the solar install i have planned is a 7 hour job which seems scary. I have just been trying to work out how i want it to be. There have obviously got to a be a cable that goes from the inverter to an extension lead to benefit from the inverter itself.

Measuring Up My Battery Space!

So if the batteries are going to fit in the hole where i have one battery at the moment the inverter will need to fit somewhere else but i want the access point from the inverter to be in the kitchen. Which then gives us our next problem which is our air fryer, which to be fair is an absolute beast of an air fryer it is the Ninja Dual 7.6L is too powerful for our air fryer. Which is gutting because we absolute love this one. So the dilemma is do we get rid of it and have an air fryer that we can use all the time even on our new inverter or do we keep it and get a 2nd air fryer for when we are not on EHU or finally the third option is to not bother getting a smaller one as we do spend most time on EHU anyway and just know that when we go off EHU we are either eating out or something that can be grilled, boiled or fried….

We have arranged fo a guy to come and sort the roof light out, i was going to try and do it myslef but the thought of me trying to do something technical like that stresses me out no end. Also if it goes wrong then i have someone who i can blame rather than it being my responsibility. Although i found his nnumber in the notice board in the gents bathroom and shower faacilities here and he has also asked me to buy my own sikaflex and my get my own ladder as well. So that got me wondering what the hell was going on as i thought it was part of the service that they would provide those sorts of things.

Well, at least it is going to get done and done properly hopefully. I just have this awful vision of someone turning up in an old battered Renault or something like that. Someone who doesn’t really know what they are doing. I remember once when i worked in Stockport and we needed a TV mounting so we got a guy from trusted traders and he came out to fit it and he used the wrong stuff and the TV fell off the wall. He caught it though, and he then refitted it with the correct bits but in mean there was a big black space on the TV where his hand had hit the TV so the TV was buggered. He just packed up his tools and left, didn’t say goodbye. Didn’t ask for payment just left. So so so weird. Stoke also came from 2 nil down to draw which was an absolutely delightful result!
