Diary Entry – 04th April 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Another day down and another day closer to our elusive return back to the UK. We have already started checking the weather report for the Bay of Biscay to see if we can get a bit of a head start into how bad it is going to be. I just hope and pray that it is going to be ok. The good thing about doing it this way round is that we only have to rough it out for the first few hours and then we are on the home straight. I am thinking if we set of at 18:30 from Santander and then take some anti sickness and then have some tea and some drinks then hopefully sleep until 7am and then we must be through the worst of it.

What i have been thinking about is how many pints i have…. i want to have enough pints to sleep but not that many pints that i am awake at 3am in the morning and cannot get back to sleep and i am awake for 2 or 3 hours peak Bay of B!! I suppose if the anti sickness tablets do there thing then i wouldn’t need a few pints to help. Another brilliant thing about this crossing is that it is less than 24 hours as we are due to arrive back in the UK at 15:30 in Plymouth so literally 21 hours.

The drive then from Plymouth to Cofton will be about an hour or so but i always stop at the Sainsburys before we get to Cofton so we can fill up with diesel and get some shopping. We were booked on for 4 nights but we are going to have to leave a night early to get to Shrewsbury for getting our shower tray fixed via Speedcoat. The absolute focus then needs to be on trying to get rid of the Campervan as i don’t really want to have that financial noose around our necks when we get back to Morocco but desperately trying to find a sensible balance between selling it and not getting stung by thousands of pounds shortfall.

We loved that little camper but i will extremely happy to see it go to a happy new home. Also hoping to not have any shortfall let alone thousands. Some of the “we buy any camper” offers we have had have been laughable like mid teens which is absolutely ridiculous. I have no issues with everyone making a bit of money but i always feel that they are trying to take advantage of peoples situation to try and buy them for as little as possible
