Diary Entry – 24th November 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Well today we have seen something we are not use to seeing here. Something that they have never done before. They held a soiree. To be fair though i think by the time id got there for about 5 minutes i felt like i should be contacting the advertising standards agency because it wasn’t quite as advertised and because of the signs dotted around the campsite i had been calling it a “rave” but in hindsight it couldn’t have been further away from being a rave. In fact it was more grave than rave.

I slept absolutely awfully the storm was still absolutely raging and there is so much dust in the air and the wind is going to keep up until roughly tomorrow about lunch time although it did gradually ease off a bit throughout the day but still very windy. As i mentioned before when it is windy here it tends to be a really warm wind which makes it 10x worse than if it was a cool wind. As it was so dusty as well it was cloudy and so so so muggy. We took the Beef up to the swimming pool to cool him down but that was too cold, we should have gone to the beach really as the water of the sea is warmer than the pool.

I was speaking to Tom earlier on the Taghazout OG and he was saying that this was as windy as he could remember it being and certainly since we have been coming here i would 100% agree with that. It is also the heat as well i can not remember it being as hot as this last year or even the year before, i honestly cannot describe how hot it is. Looking at the weather it is going to be warm at least until the weekend. Normally this time of year it is low 20s but these high 20s and the hot wind are a little bit too much for us.

So as i thought the soiree was going to be busy i said to people we were going to get there about 18:30 so we could secure a good table and get the best seats in the house for the “rave”. As we arrived they were just finishing setting up and it was a relatively old French man singing, relatively badly, to absolutely french songs and then all of a sudden i realised i didn’t need to get here so early. We were joined by the Brookes shortly after that and it was one of those soirees that picked up throughout the night, now whether that was because the French man sang less or i drank more but by the time it finished at 9pm i was gutted that it was finishing.
