Welcome to todays diary entry! Wow, what was probably the worst night we have ever had with the Beef, good grief, wow. It was awful. Bless his little cotton socks. The hourly waking up continued right through until about 6:30 am this morning and to be fair somehow i managed to wake up in pretty good spirits and i felt ok, to be honest better than i have some other morning when i have had a lot of sleep. I think the thing is when you think he is poorly and he doesn’t really have a bloody clue what is going on or what to do about it.
I have a lad off sick at the moment and every member of my team has been knocked down by it so it is knocking adults down then credit to he Beef for rallying through it and doing what he can. He can hear it in him it is like a marble in a tin can. The Dr said though that it is what it is. Nothing they can do about it. He may get worse before he gets better and he may be ill for a bout 2 weeks and then sent us on our way. Which when at times last night i was worrying that it could be bronchitis or something like asthma the Dr seemed quite flippant about it and not worried at all so maybe it is just me being overly worried.

But to be fair as the day has progressed he does seem to be getting better and better and better. Definitely better than 24 hours ago. He never showed any sign of a fever or anything just a really bad throat. There was no crying tonight at least and he definitely seemed in better spirits and what compounded this fact was the fact that he came over to me and asked for Chi Chi Wa and Music man on the TV so that was a pretty good sign that we were getting back on the right track.
Been a busy couple of days in the shop and it has been a really weird September, it feels almost a bit like November for how busy it has been and everything has felt like a battle. I suppose what we have missed this year is the little flurry you have of the more senior members of society that dont go away in the school holidays and they want it to be a little bit quieter. The weather has been so bad i think people are just waiting for that last little bit of summer which i guess they hope will be coming any minute now. Although i would not be holding my breath
