Welcome to todays diary entry! First Saturday back in the shop today and a much more low key Saturday morning than the carnage of last weekend but it was well worth it and you never remember or talks about the weekends when you stay in. My back is still better but I don’t seem to have felt much improvement in the last day or so and it still aches. Strangely enough it seems to ache most when i sit down and i think that is probably with the angle of my legs when i am sat. So i try and get up every now and then and get on my feet. I am looking forward to it getting better to be honest it has been a bit of a pain this last few days.
At least we had a bit of a lie in as the shop doesn’t open until 9am on a Saturday instead of 8am int he week. That will be 6 days this week i will have worked even with a bad back but I’m not going to keep going on about it ;). I am so lucky to be able to work here though and be able to spend most of my time talking about something that I am so interested in. Not many people get that chance so i am always grateful. I had a look at May and think i may be work maybe 27 out of 31 days and of those 2 days i said i would do some volunteering at Vanlife Festival waving people in. They have deemed me qualified enough to be a waver! So if you see a 6ft 4 person waving you into a field somewhere if you are going to VLF give me a beep!

Stealing a phrase off someone i used to work with, they say that “happy bees make tasty honey” and for the first time i have ever worked at A and E Leisure someone made bacon sandwich’s on a Cadac outside and i must it is a concept that i very much embrace. So much so i said that i will do that next weekend so it is not the same person doing it all of the time! So i have signed myself up to working next Saturday and then cooking breakfast for the troops here in Northwich. Then the weekend after that i am in Nottingham with A and E Leisure doing the Outdoor Revolution Late Spring Show followed by another show with the Shop at Arley Hall.
I think by the time June gets here i will be ready for week away it is all with the intention of trying to work as hard as possible so I can work as little as possible in the winter. Id love to be able to have a few months off and just potter about and get me some winter sun. Although it seems like a lifetime away! Although it always feels like that but hopefully it goes ultra quick and then i can be in Tamraght sooner rather than later.
