Diary Entry – 19th January 2023

A lengthy driving day, turned in to about 4 or 5 hours in the end. Our final destination, just south of the middle of no where in place called Vas near Santiago de Compostela. The rain was horrendous, it was literally horizontal rain. Horrific, the reception was a little bar/ restaurant and it looked very clique. We walked in, taking in to account the rain outside, it was 6 degrees, with a push chair. When we walked in the entire bar fell silent and everyone looked at us. After a couple of seconds everyone turned back around, i felt a bit awkward but within 3 minutes the bar maid was kissing the wee mans feet and some guy was dancing and clapping for Rory. It was such a brilliant place and despite not speaking a word of English or Spanish a great time was had by all!

We stayed in the restaraubt until about 8pm drinking Estrella Galicia and eatuing homemade hamburgers and fries it was very very very nice. I have honestly never ever seen rain like what i have seen out of this window. Honestly wild, the rain in general i have never know it to rain so much, so hard, for so long.

On the drive today the Wee man was moaning in his seat i just thought he was getting a bit naggy however all of a sudden, there was an explosion from his nappy area and we had to pull over at the next set of services as there had been some nappy leakage. It was so funny both me and Lisa trying to change him in a petrol station changing room, me holding his hands out of the way whilst Lisa tries and cleans up. Parenting is so glamorous.
