Diary Entry – 12th January 2023

Drove for about 6 or 7 hours today ended up south of Bordeaux at Dune du Pillat the largest sand dune in Europe. Currently sat wild camping at a park up. We walked Rory down to the beach front which is about 10 minutes walk over some sand dunes to get to the sea, the bay of Biscay I believe. I can hear the sea from here it’s blowing wild!

Got a CAMC site booked in a couple of days so looking forward to getting the awning out and a proper camp.

Just had a French baguette with ham and cheese the most French sandwich ever. Glad Iv only a small drive tomorrow to San Sebastián it’s knackered me out. It is not the driving on the big roads it’s the towns and villages and round abouts etc. I’m a bit drained tonight, we are an hour ahead here so it’s 21:35 so not far from bed time for me now.
