We found somewhere in the end. We set off from A and E in the morning about 10am. We didnt have a clue where we were going and didnt even start looking really until we had gotten to Glasgow. There is so much choice up here that it is hard ti pin point one place. We originally thoiught about getting onto the Isle of Mull but the weather wasnt great and we were already racing to get to the final ferry of the day in time. The rain has definitely followed us up here as the rain in Glasgow was awful.
We tried to ring some of Lisas family as we passed through Kirky but they were all out and headed up past Loch Lomond. I didnt want to stop for a 1 nighter and then head to Mull so we had to try and find somewhere where we are happy to sit for 4 or 5 nights. Also, trying to manage that with finding somewhere that had semi respectable weather as weather as well. WE decided to come to a place that Lisa has wanted to come to for ages. A place called Portavadie pronounced (Port-A-vaddie). I kept getting it wrong and they dont like it. It is a lovely little marina. It has outdoor infinity pools, gym, indoor swimming pool and an amazing restaurant.
We got here around 7 oclock so it was operation get the awning up (again). Feels like all i have done is put awnings up and down for ever. So i will be glad to be able to leave this one up for a bit. There is no better feeling once camp is complete but by the time i have had a night or 2 i’m already thinking about having to take everything down and where i can going to put it all. But for the time being i am going to enjoy my time in bonnie Scotland and get some R and R because the last 5 days have really taken it out of me. I do love the shows but they are such hard work.
