Diary Entry – 10th February 2023

A couple of days ago i managed to find something in the local shop that i had not seen since we hit Europe on the 10th January. Its orange squash and some proper bacon. So i woke and went straight for the Cadac and alongside bacon sandwich’s i had a glass of Robinsons orange juice. The above, on a grey windy morning felt almost like being back at home. We have decided to stay another day so we have a day where tomorrow i can get on top of everything work wise and be up to date with all videos. It just meant we could wander back in to Albufeira and try and see if the waves were as bad as the weather report suggested. It had been described as an extreme coastal event and they were mental!! WE have an important zoom call we needed to make for 3pm but i cannot go into that. We headed into Albufeira after that

Literally some of the wildest waves i have ever seen! The wind have completed sanded up the walk way tot he end of the pier so we couldn’t get the push chair to the end so i went alone. I bought some English mustard from the shop along with bacon and juice so i was contemplating having the tomahawk steak again but we decided to eat out. It is so cheap out here that when i cannot decide between 2 main meals I just order booth (then moan when i get heartburn and i don’t lose weight). I don’t obviously eat it all, most i do, but not it all. I ordered ribs and a fillet steak so i put my new mustard to good use. It was very very very nice.

Albufeira is growing on me, was a bit unsure at first felt very Blackpool esc, or Benidorm esc but actually it is very very nice. The people are so friendly again, anyone will talk to you. They all love the Wee man and they all all make the same funny noises to him. We them started the 4 mile walk back to the camper with the wind on our backs. It was a good opportunity to walk some of my tea(S) off. Early night as we have a very busy day tomorrow. We have got our eye on the weather report and it seems to be pretty grey really, no rain but just greybskies until mid next week. Its still warm though.
