Diary Entry – 07th January 2023

That is it!! It is scheduled!! The first actually vlog vlog, not the prep videos is scheduled, i had deliberately had it scheduled for 2 weeks from tomorrow so i have 2 weeks worth of bank content then travel stuff. We have had a lovely day today, despite some almost apocalyptic weather, not sure whether we have visit Devon or the Bearing Sea…. We went into Torquay and from being up north a vast majority of seaside towns are, unfortunately, shite holes, but Torquay AKA the English Riviera was actually really nice, we went to the fishing tackle shop to get some rods and stuff from a place called Hookz Online. We are now the proud owners of a couple of LRF rods and a few bits and pieces so i was allowed an hour to go into the harbour and get the rod out and try my hand at some LRF fishing. Didn’t catch. We then went to a lovely little restaurant bar place called Below Decks – was fantastic!! Trip Advisor review here

On the way back from Torquay the views were fantastic, we had the sea and the moon on our right hand side and managed to find a layby to take some amazing photos. This got me thinking about what on earth i am going to do when i take a handful of good pictures. I don’t want them to get lost or forgotten about, i took about 10 of the scene and they are all in my opinion absolutely brilliant.

What seems wild to me is that we have been in Devon for nearly a week now and we still have an astronomical amount of things to get done tomorrow etc. I want to go to Dawlish Warren, but we have some thumbnails to create, some blogs to write, washing to be done, i want an hours fishing on some rocks somewhere, clothes to pack, van to repack. I want the van packed tomorrow night so we can head off after an early Monday hot tub session. But seriously i don’t want to be packing the van up on Monday morning especially when the weather has been as bad as it has. I just want an easy Monday and try and limit the pre ferry nerves. I don’t know why but i always seem to get more nervous on Ferry’s than I do on planes although i cannot remember the last time I went on a ferry. Still nervous and nervous about driving abroad but i have no choice now, a bit too far down the line to be worrying about that. Rich
