Diary Entry – 02nd June 2024

Welcome to todays diary entry! This thing that i thought was hay fever is turning to be something not hay fever like at all. In fact, far far from it. I have such an incredible build up of pressure behind my nose. It is very very sore. I can only think of one other time that i have felt like this and it was when i had Covid. It was last December ’21 after i had attended our Christmas party and pretty much everyone in the office came down with it. Something to do with a Vodka flute but my lasting impression of Covid was the incredibly blocked sinus that i had.

We were supposed to be away and supposed to be watching Stoke play away at Coventry for the weekend and were in a hotel and both me and Lisa had it at exactly the same time. The blocked sinus was so bad that when i tried to blow my eyes they were that blocked that the easiest path for the gunk was through my tear duct rather than my nose. This definitely feels like that and also explains why yesterday i slept as much as i did. Another big symptom that i have is not really feeling like having a drink. Which is a good thing probably because i really wanted to enjoy this weekend.

Which i have totally enjoyed the weekend and even possibly having Covid hasn’t stopped me from doing anything it has just meant that i am feeling extremely tired. It is no secret that i don’t need any excuse for an afternoon snooze. That brings me on to the festival itself. I have been to music festivals in the past which have pretty much been 4 or 5 day benders where i don’t remember anything and face, many many days of anxiety after. This though, has been exactly what i had hoped it had been. It has really been absolutely brilliant.

Everything about it has been great, we have done really well with the weather which always helps but it has just been so nice to spend some time with Mum and Beef and that all the hard work i have been putting in over the last few weeks is so that we can continue to live this lifestyle and be able to do these things. I am back at work tomorrow and i must say that i do love these shows more being an attendee than working them. In July we have 4 shows in 5 weeks so that is going to be intense but it is still good fun. Scary to think that after those shows and after 2 weeks off it is the middle of August and nearly the end of the summer. It is going to go so so so quickly.
