Diary Entry – 01st May 2023

Today is Bank Holiday Monday woohooo. It’s also Labor Day in Morocco so we weren’t sure if shops were going to be open. Thankfully they were. We were jumping in a taxi with Ness & G to Agadir. The plan was to get some good ol pints then head to the supermarket. You can imagine what happened. If you are on our Facebook you would have saw the size of the pints the boys were drinking.

It’s such a pity there isn’t any campsites in Agadir itself as it’s a great touristy resort, the best we have been to in Morocco. Our campsite is only a short 20/25 mins away but it would be ace to be right in Agadir. When we were out we both picked up some “designer” sunglasses, I got a cool straw hat and Dickie got a nice watch ( see pic!) all for change out of £40! Bargain.

We’re in the midst of planning our journey back to the UK to sell our caravan. I can’t wait to see family and friends and show off baby beef. He’s just such a great baby and I can’t wait for everyone to see him in the flesh and get big smiles, chat and cuddles. The only thing that might delay our departure slightly is that I’m still waiting on some parcels with clothes to be delivered, Royal Mail have made a right see you next Tuesday of it. They left the UK on the 23rd April (Collected on the 18th!) and still no sign. After chasing their help account on Twitter since Monday they have informed me today they don’t know when they will turn up. Will need to make a call soon on how many extra days we stay at this campsite. Will keep you posted. ’til the next one, xx Lisa

Hola Lisa. Letters posted on 14 th April in UK arrived yesterday and today here in Southern Spain. Things take mega longer since Brexit and in Spain, at least, are subject to i port charges for goods. May not be the same in Morocco…..

    1. Thanks Helen, it’s just frustrating as I paid extra for the fastest service they had – allegedly 6-8 business days for Worldwide… that being said we’ve had Ramadan and Bank Holidays, likely got ’til next week then we’ll need to scarper as we need to be out of Morocco by 23rd May (thereabouts!) xx Lisa
