Diary Entry – 01st April 2023

White Rabbits!! Pinch punch 1st of the month!! etc etc etc, another day another month of this diary entry that is now 4 months of consistent writing this diary/ blog/ ramblings of a northern man living in a campervan with his wife and baby. Well, today is Saturday and today was the day we said goodbye to Ness and Gee. Not forever but for 7 days as they go and have another week away in an All Inclusive hotel. We are no longer in the hotel stage of our budget so it was one that we had to give a wide birth too. We said that we would drop them off at the hotel as we would need to go the super market anyway. There are some scales outside one of the chemists here so we decided to weigh ourselves and then try and lose a bit of weight this week. I was a scary 112kgs. So i will let you know on Saturday again how much i lost or gained ha ha ha.

We went for an early morning walk this morning to go and get fresh bread from the bakery. They also do a series of breakfast so we sat in, the Beef sucked jam off bread, and we have some croissants and crepes with honey and jam. Very nice very cheap. We are going to try and be thrifty this week and have a chilled one without going over the top. On the way back we tried and successfully found the butcher that everyone talks about and the reason why he is so popular is that he sells ham, bacon and pork chops. He is actually a cheese shop with a ham hustle on the side

When we got back we got the camper ready and headed into Agadir to drop those guys off. It is strange but we have only known each other since we were at La Relais and we have become somewhat inseparable. We have already planned on what we are going to do until we leave Morocco but then i think we will go our separate ways as they have to fly back to the UK for a wedding and we will be moving on. It will be a surreal experience that because we have become so close. But i will let future Skelton worry about that. We went to the Marjane in Agadir and threw the being thrifty thing straight out of the window We spent £200 odd quid with the best part of nothing to show for it other than a baby huigh chair and some citronella candles. Nightmare.
