Welcome to todays diary entry! Another wet day today, honestly i cannot believe how much it rains. When people say it has been like this all winter always reminds me of how lucky we are to be able to escape the awful winters here and be in Morocco. To say that i am looking forward to getting back there is a understatement. Hopefully this time in 6 months we will be back there in the sun. I am looking forward to getting back as he will be a bit older again so hopefully be able to spend more time in the sea and swimming pool.
This week has been good to get back into the swing of things in the shop and we had a visit today from one of our favourite people in the industry and that is a chap called Stephen from Camptech. He attends a couple of the shows with us and normally he part of the usual Camper Jam crew! I just hope and prey that we have decent weather for the shows. We have always done ok with the show weather. Well, i say that, set up day at Dubbed Out was awful and then on pack down it absolutely lashed it down. Same at Camper Jam to be fair for the pack down think we had a couple of almost apocolyptic down pours at Camper Jam.

There will inevitably be a show at some point where it rains the whole time. I imagine bad weather can severely impact these things, not necessarily the festival aspect but the propensity of people shopping i imagine being smaller. Although someone said nothing gets people buying awnings like people who don’t have one in the rain. Our first show is in the middle of May and if it anything like what it has been like then i better pack some arm bands and some goggles.
I received a WhatsApp from my Dad today telling me that the travel advice for Morocco has changed again. I have never not felt safe there i just think it is because of the situation in the middle east. I read in a news paper article that Iran has something to do with some militia in Western Sahara and providing them with weapons to start a bit of a rebellion against Morocco. I still feel safer in Morocco than i have done anywhere else in the world. A lot of the travel advice was centred around Algeria, Mauritania and Mali. Which does put a bit of a spanner in the works for my plan to maybe drive to The Gambia in the winter.
