Hump Day!! Mummy and Beef been swimming again today. As soon as i get chance i want to take him to the beach by the lake. It looks odd because it looks like a proper beach but rather than looking out in the Atlantic your looking out onto Lac de Biscarrosse et de Parentis. The lake itself is beautiful and is huge and as soon as i get an hour free i’m going to go and get my rod and try and catch some fishies. There looks to be a full range of fish in the water ranging from Gudjeon to Catfish to Carp to Trout to Black Bass. I’m not sure which Bass i caught in Morocco but I am looking forward to getting out in the water.
I cannot tell you how close we are to crawling with the Beef. It is imminent, he is 99.99% of the way there. He is doing everything but crawl and im pretty certain that there has been a few times when he has crawled a bit. People always say “ooooh that will be trouble then”. I thing the opposite in fact, it means he can tire himself out more and it also means he is one step closer to walking and 1 step closer to playing football with me on that football pitch at Camping Atlantica Park.
This is the first week that we have both been doing a bit of work and it is going ok. I think we have the Beef in a really good routine now and the the days of having 20 minute meltdowns pre nap are long gone (touch wood) for now. To be fair that is 2 things that he has never struggled with is sleeping and eating. Which are probably 2 of the most important things. The sleep is key, even if your children are challenging in the day it is so much easier when you’ve had a lot of sleep yourself. Also, i suppose the benefit of my sabbatical and then working remotely is that i have always been there to pick up the bits of slack there were. Just to clarify there has never been any slack because of the incredible job the Beefs Mum has done. If you look at her 2 girls as well who have all turned out very well, so he was always in safe hands.
