Diary Entry – 31st May 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! My plan to have a totally work free weekend didn’t have a great start today but as the weather was relatively ok i got the table set up and went and sat at the front of the motorhome. It was intermittently warm but it was extremely windy so when the sun went in it did get quite chilly. I was one of them Dry Robe w@*kers and spent the whole morning swooshing about in mine. I don’t quite understand the stick that they get because they are incredibly useful and comfy the only problem i find is that we don’t use them enough because they take up so much space. I also have not forgiven them for breaking my back window in the Transit in Braga.

My Friday Morning View

Despite promising myself i was going to have the weekend off I couldn’t just turn my back on the shop and with it being the last day of the month and the shop having a target to hit I wanted to be in the trenches with them and do whatever it takes to get the number hit. So I settled in for however long it was going to take to get the number hit. I was just hoping that it wasn’t going to drag on but we reached our target by about 3pm so i at that point logged out and turned my sole attention on family time. The festival hadn’t really started yet as it was officially due to start at 5 this evening so we had a bit of time walking around the and getting our bearings.

Today was a huge huge day for me/ us as it was finally the day we got to test out our new inverter. This would be the first time that we got to see everything working in tandem not on electric hook up and we had even bought a new air fryer as our Ninja Dual 7.6L needed about as much power as the Chernobyl nuclear plant needed. So we had to down size to something a little more sensible. Which is good also as when we took the motorhome to get the wheel checked Mum had left the Air Fryer on the side and it fell off the counter and broke one of the handles.

The 2 lads from work arrived this afternoon about 17:30 and one of the guys had had a drink already. His name is Nath and to be fair he is one of the top top lads here and i get on really well with him. He is very similar to me just less intelligent, less funny but quite similar. He had been drinking on the way to us and he was already a noisy, there is nothing worse than being sober and someone being a bit drunk around you but i can only imagine how many times I’ve been like that around other people so I just grinned and bared it. We actually had a really good evening we went to he main stage and watched some live music and i think we were back in the motorhome in bed for about 10pm. With no work now i can properly look forward to the rest of the weekend.
