Welcome to todays diary entry! What a wonderful way to bring out the year!! And another New Years Eve here in Morocco and on this site. It really is a special special place. I deliberately had a quiet night last night knowing full well that tonight was going to be later than i had stayed up for a quite a while. Having a 2 year isn’t conducive with having late nights as there is always the constant threat of him getting up at 6am and then being wild and excited and running about the place.

We had decided that we were going to the restaurant down the bottom. I have mentioned that we were due to go there on Christmas day for food but the menu didn’t really appeal to me and not that the New Years one did but as there was a disco and some other bits going on i thought now would be the best time to get down there and see if i could have something off the normal menu and fortunately they said yes so i ordered steak and i didn’t like any of the starters so i just picked somehting that i though we could all pick at and it ended up being Spring Rolls which i don’t like but it was one of those things.

The party started at 19:30 but we wanted to get there early so we could see the sunset so we got there about 18:30 but we had some pre drinks round the Fegans at about 18:00. With it starting at 19:30 i assumed food would be at about 21:00 then then we would disco the night away. The Beef hasn’t been having sleeps in the day last few days so we thought we could get him down about 20:30 and then have a nice adult meal. Now what happened after that was a bit odd and probably not what i was expecting and still now i am now not sure whether it is purely a French thing.
The disco started first and we had some classic Moroccan/ French bangers which i have never heard before but actually i thoroughly enjoyed them and spent vast parts of my evening dancing away. We knew most of the people there as being our 3rd time you get to know even the French people and the staff that were in there. Literally everyone was in there having a boogie. It was absolutely fantastic but the main course dint get served until 22:50 and as you can imagine by that point having been at a New Years eve party for almost 6 hours i was not particularly in the mood for eating as i was too busy dancing away. The Beef woke at about 23:55 so we tried to settle him but he wanted his bed so we had to leave just before midnight, and i mean literally just before because as we were half way inbetween the restaraunt and motorhome there was abig cheer and the fireworks started.
