It is days like today when you realise what you are doing is something pretty spectacular. So when we woke up it was still dark and I had promised myself to go for a 5k run although when I woke up at 07:20 it was still dark outside so I put the kettle on instead and sat in bed. As it got later throughout the morning it got nicer and nicer and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was very warm so i decided to go for a walk instead of going for a run. We decided to all go through which was very very nice. Roughly 500 yards down the road, the opposite direction to the super markets there is a huge lake.
All around the lake there are lots of little hidden coves with secluded private beaches. There is also a larger beach which is the main beach this side. Looking out from it you wouldn’t believe it was a lake it could quite easily be a beach from the sea. I only dipped my toe in to see how warm the water was, and it was very cold. There are lots of little huts which sell things like boat trips, kayaks and stuff like that. He is far too small for 99.99% of what they do but it has given me some ideas of things that we can do for his 1st birthday on Saturday.
We ended up walking around in a big loop and walked over 5k in the end. Pretty much the whole of this area of France is full of pine trees. The smell of the pines trees just happens to be one of my favourites. It is such a pretty place Biscarosse is and i am so glad we came back here. I would like it to be a little warmer and a bit sunnier but being able to walk around a place like this with my wife and son is so fantastic. I am on a late shift today so work 12:30 till 21:00 France time so that is a 11:30 till 20:00 UK time so have plenty of time in the morning for exploring.
We finally got the all clear to talk about our big announcement. We are coming back to UK in October for a short while to do some talks about Morocco at the Caravan and Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham. We are so so so buzzing for that! I love the October show as well so to be able to share our experiences and knowledge was amazing!!
