Welcome to todays diary entry! Today could be the turning of the tide and hopefully the start of our next batch of good luck! So like we mentioned yesterday we decided to explore the industrial estate that A and E Leisure is on to find out if a garage could have a look and get the wheel off so we could try and see what was going on and if it needed brakes etc or pads then give it the best possible chance of being repaired in time for Vanlife Festival. So i sent Mum off to have a look whilst i was working.
So off she trotted to try and fix it in a way that only Mums know how to. She went to the first place and they couldn’t help, they pointed her to another place, they couldn’t help, they pointed her to another place who spent 5 minutes saying he couldn’t but then said “if you can get it round here asap we can have a look at it”. So she came back around and we took onto the next row of units and he listened to it going backwards slowly and forwards slowly and then he jacked it up and took the wheel off span it around, to be fair it sounded awful. He then got a screw driver and wedged open a plastic panel behind the brakes as he said it shouldn’t be the breaks as there was loads on them.

As he wedged them open it looked as though a little pebble fell out and then when he re-span the wheel around it sounded brilliant again. He checked inside something else to make sure it wasn’t anything else. So all that stress and anxiety was sorted for just £45 and then just like that the weight of the world had lifted off my shoulders and almost instantly i felt like i had my mojo back. It is always so funny to think that somethings can impact you so much but for now i am enjoying the win and that means that Vanlife Fest is on officially.
We thought about going to a pub stop over tonight in Shrewsbury on the way but there was even rumour of getting my inverter fitted tomorrow, so just like that it my whole view of the world had changed. I could finally start looking forward to the weekend and having the days off as i was planning too. I think as a family we definitely need it and it also looks as though the weather is still going to hold up as well. What a time to be alive! I am just so so so so buzzing i honestly cannot tell you all how happy i am!
