Welcome to todays diary entry! For fear of jinxing it it appears as thought the difficult parenting phase we had entered was maybe just about drawing to a close. I will come onto that later. I slept so well last night and man i must have needed it so badly especially with the not sleeping great over the last few weeks and then with the big move yesterday. I dont even remember moving in my sleep once just literally straight through. Which is only half of the battle because if he doesnt sleep well then no one sleeps well. One of the few downsides of being in a motorhome is it is essentially a 1 roomed 2 x 7m metal box on wheels.
In regards to him though last night was something the 2nd decent night on the bounce that he has had and i had been researching about phases of sleep regression and he is definitely in that sort of zone at 2 years old ish where they can suffer with it. He has always been a good sleeper and pretty much slept through since he was about 10 weeks old and i just wonder whether that had something to do with the fact that he was prem and spent time in the children’s intensive care and they obviously cannot jump straight to every baby that cries and whether he had learnt a little bit of self soothing from his stay in there.

Well he slept straight through last night and it was much needed and much welcomed by me and him Mum. He always seems to have a bit of a sixth sense where he knows just about when we are at our limit and then gives us a rest but for us to have 2 nights on the trot of decent sleep makes a huge huge huge difference to us about everything. Being sleep deprived is truly one of the worse things. It must be getting good because i have not been having my afternoon sleeps.
For my dinner today i treated myself to a little bit of luxury and treated myself to a Fray Bentos Chicken curry pie, smash and tinned carrots. Don’t get me wrong i do love Moroccan food and have even tried couscous recently and liked it but this dish is one of my absolute favorites. That is the beauty about doing a little stock up before you leave so you can have little treats like this that you would normally be waiting until you got back to Gib to go and see and do. What is even better is when you forget what you have bought and then later on down the line you find something you love but forgot you had. Its almost as good as finding money in your pocket.
