Welcome to todays diary entry! Happy Friday! And another day being chalked off on the big countdown think we are like 30 days or something now, but today is a big milestone because it is one calendar month away until we get off. We have started to do another mini change around in the shop to get some different stuff up. We have sold a few of our demos so we had spaces to fill and new stuff to put out. I like being involved in the ordering process as i like to see what we will have coming in during the next few months as that obviously influences what you put up.
Especially with the turn of the year but one thing that we seem to have missed this time is the little surge of older people buying new stuff once the kids have gone back to school. I think someone i was speaking to referenced them as the “Grey Brigade”. Normally you can get decent enough weather in September but not this year i think people have just about had enough of it and will be glad to see the back of it. It has definitely been the worst summer that i can ever remember. We even have the heating on at work now much to the despair of the Dodge.

We were ready to hit the road come 17:08 as we had a long weekend planned at Blakemere so i was very excited to get here so i could get my new awning out and have a play with it. I have not done the curtains yet but i i managed to get it up on my own and wow she is a big girl and a big of a pain to do on my own but at i can do it. We have bought the Footprint and the carpet to go with it as well and when it will be up and set up properly it will look mega and will gives us that extra space. We have planned it out in our head about 50 times about how we are going to set it up. My only apprehension is that i am worried about how much space it takes up in the garage and will limit the space of other stuff we can take.
But! I really wanted to take a drive awning with us this time and with this one being attached as it is the right height for our motorhome essentially almost doubles our indoor space and i honestly think it will enhance our experience of being away. I just worry about spiders being in there and ants but i will cross that bridge when i come to it. The main thing at the moment is getting the motorhome packed and getting on that ferry. I simply cannot wait.
