Welcome to todays diary entry! The final May bank has been spent worrying about my back wheel. In my mind i am also having to try and write Vanlife Fest off now and just trying to come to terms with the fact that we wont be going and that it will be getting fixed on Monday when it is in for more work to be done and more money to be poured into it. I am feeling the strain a bit at the moment and feeling a little bit down. I am always trying to not be like this and be the eternal optimist but even i am finding it difficult at the moment.
Just need to work through the things that are causing me the most anxiety and then deal with them. I think what has compounded it is the fact of supposed to be going there on the weekend. I got one of the guys from body shop to listen to it and he said he could be something or nothing. It definitely sounds like metal on metal which tends to mean it is something. From doing some research it could be brakes, break pads, callipers or bearings.

At least for today I am trying to put it out of my mind there is no point worrying about something on bank holiday Monday when no one is around to do anything. I have messaged the Dodge to see if he can help me take the wheel off the motorhome and see if I can try and diagnose the fault. Which when you could write what i know about mechanics on the back of a postage stamp with a bingo dabber doesn’t count for much. When I talk about people id trust to have a look at the motorhome and take the wheel off he is definitely one of them.
I quite like working the bank holidays in the shop, only working 6 hours seems to make a huge difference with how quickly a day seems to go. The ability to have an hour or so in the morning and an hour and an extra hour or 2 in the evening is definitely noticeable. The good thing is that this week on paper should only be a 3 day week depending on the outcome of the back wheel debacle but even if it isn’t good news and we cannot go to Vanlife then I think I am still going to have the time off and have some family time. I still feel so drained from May and just hoping that sometime off will do me the world of good,
