Welcome to todays diary entry! I am absolutely knackered me and Mum ended up having a little chat last night as our Starlink stopped working as we have been out of the UK for 3 months but that has covered us in Spain and Morocco so it has been really really good but the Campsite WIFI has a tendency to be crap so i suggested maybe it was time to move and then i got those infamous words from Mum “I’m ready to move on now too”. When you know you are due to leave you feel in this sort of limbo where you don’t know what to do with your time. So last night i said that i would pack up today and then we can see how we feel once we have done that.

So i started at about 08:00 and it is a big job to put all of our stuff away because as you will have seen on pictures we have a large seasonal awning and everything you could ever imagine that you would need whilst being full time in your motorhome. Things like extra fridges, chairs, lighting, awning accessories, Christmas decorations. We used this as a good chance to get everything out of the garage again and sweep all of the garage out and then sort back through all of our stuff to see if there was anything we could give to the staff. So we went through Rory’s old clothes and toys and we managed to give them a big pile of stuff which is always nice to do and they are always appreciative.

So everything came out of the awning so i could put my new mats on the floor in the back and then once that was done i have to move everything out of the awning so i could put the awning in first. The awning weighs about 35kgs so i asked Kel to give me a hand which is always useful with that thing especially given that he has a poorly arm from trying to do a pull up when we were walking back from the Hyatt on Friday night. Annoyingly it was roasting hot and i found myself doing a bit for 40 minutes then going inside in the cool for a bit to try and break it up.
Eventually i got there in the end and after it was all packed to try and calm my pre travel jitters that i always seem to get i asked Kel and Amanda if they fancied a little mini trip out in the motorhome so we got in i put a full tank of diesel in and topped up the air in my tyres and we drove down to see the other Camping Atlantica as they had never seen it before and it is about 10 miles away so gave me enough time to get a bit of blood pumping around the veins of the motorhome to warm her up for the big drive ahead. Safe to say as always she was wonderful and with the exception of a bit of an odd squeaking noise she was an absolute delight and we cantered along the sea front north of Taghazout.
I also in preparation for the travel put some full fat Pepsi down the drains of the motorhome so it could splash about whilst we were driving. We have found that to be a great way to “stop the stench”.
