Diary Entry – 26th August 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! They say there is no rest for the wicked and before i have time to put my feet up and relax we are now focusing on the next few weeks which will based on trying to get us over out target for August this weekend for our own little instore show and then the last show of the year which will be Bus Fest in Melvern for the largest VW Campervan show in Europe so potentially could be a barn storming end to our show season for the year. This year has been the most shows we have ever done in a year before and in total it works out to be 8th show this year.

Cheeky Beef

In total that works out to be 2 shows in Nottingham, The Camping Club North West Meet, Tribs on the Hill, Shop Show, Camper Jam, Dubbed Out and finally Bus Fest. Which is 8 full weeks of work so it is ever likely it feels like the summer has gone fast. It has literally flown past and gone so so so quickly but it has been one hell of a summer. It doesn’t look like i will be on a stand at the NEC this year but will be in my caretaker role until my last day which is the Friday 25th October. So the big big countdown is on. It just seems so surreal to be talking about it.

A little bit like talking about having a 2 year and knowing the Beef is going to be 2 on Monday and i am extra looking forward to be able to have him in the UK for his birthday and we are planning on having a bit of a party for him at my sisters. So it will be us 3, my nan, my mum, my sister, brother in law and nephews so it will be a little bit of a party for him which will be nice. It has been good to have my pal back and i do enjoy having him around and i guess it is nice coming back from a holiday feeling fully relaxed.

I am just sitting here now wondering just how quickly the next 7 or 8 week will compared to how fast the previous god knows how many weeks have gone by. I am looking forward to going but i have enjoyed coming back but mainly looking forward to getting in the sun and getting myself in the sea and stuff. We did say we were going to go to Merzouga again for my birthday in March but i think i may swerve that now and just stay coastal this year. We do have a bit of a hit list of places to see but we will plan them in more detail once we get there.
