We have finally got insurance again on the motorhome but want an absolute pain in the bahooki it has been. It ended turning into a massive massive job. Involving a 7.5km trek and a taxi into Agadir. To say it has been a bit of a battle is a wild under statement. Let me start from the beginning. Now our personal visas are in the police office and we have already extended the motorhomes time here so all that was left was to re-insure the motorhome so we can explore some more now and if we want to move sites then we can. So we asked at reception where we go to do it and he advised us to go into Banana town so we were all up at the crack of dawn, woolly hat on for the Beef as the sun hadn’t shown over the hill yet so was a bit chilly for him.
We had walked into Banana town to get our own visas done so we knew about the walk but this time we put it into our walking app so we could see how far it was officially. Fortunately where we were headed was just at the main roundabout of Banana town so hopefully straight there, straight in, straight out, bish bash bosh. Wrong. They advised that they were unable to do an to head into Agadir to do it there but we checked google and could see there was another couple down the road so rather than give in, we pulled up our socks and ventured further and further into Banana town looking for the next assurance place.

Probably couple of hundred metres down the road and we were venturing in to the next one which was an Axa one which we thought would be an absolute banker for getting it done in there but once again no joy. The lady advised us that there is someone there who can do it but we would have to make an appointment to come back and to do it then but it is a mission so i didn’t want to have to come back and we still had one more place to check, so off we we walked for another 2 or 300 hundred miles to find the next one. From the Outside i was really optimistic about this one as it had the CAT logo on the side which is the name of the product we need as a foreign person looking to insure abroad. Once again they didn’t do and wanted us to go into Agadir so by the time we had walked into deep banana town and back back to the Moho it was 7.5kms. Which with a baby in tow is a fair old distance.
After having spoken to reception again they advised me to try and get into Agadir and advised me to look at Axa in Agadir so we jumped in a taxi after work and headed into Agadir and we were in and out within 15 minutes but 2009dhm lighter which is about 160 for 90 days third party only insurance. But that now covers us until we are due to leave Morocco at the end of April. We did a minor detour so Mum could pick up some contact lenses. By the time we got back we were absolutely shattered so went into La Plancha to have another Tagine as we had one from there on Sunday but it wasnt as good this time. It had no vegetables with it. I also find food tastes better and a number of beers so that was probably why it wasnt as good.
