Welcome to todays diary entry! Merry Christmas Everyone! What an absolutely brilliant day we have had today and they group bet that i wouldn’t be able to stay awake until 10pm but i did. Being honest no one was more doubting about not having a sleep than me and at one point i did lie down on the bed but i was quickly hustled out by Mum. Let me take you to the start of the day. Our Christmas probably didn’t start like many for people with kids but this was just perhaps one year to soon for the Beef and he didn’t wake up until after 9am so me and Mum had a nice lie in and a decent nights sleep last night and also helped by an early night.

After we had had a couple of cups of tea we were literally doing what we could to try and wake him up without waking him up so the windows got opened in the motorhome and the kettle went back on and the air con went on so we were trying to nudge him in the right direction eventually he decided he wanted to wake up and he made his way over to our bed. I tried to point him through the window so he could see his presents and get all excited and he did a bit. So i then took him into the awning and showed him the empty beer can and the biscuits were gone and the carrot had a big chunk bitten out of it.

He didn’t quite get the opening presents bit and every time he opened a present he was just obsessed with that one and not the concept of there being more presents but like i say that will come next year i think. The food was fantastic and i think at some point throughout the day despite it being a wonderful day it has impacted us being away from our families as is only natural. I know Kel and Amanda at different times over the last 24/ 48 hours have both felt it and felt a little bit homesick. I have felt it as well with my family and despite it being my second year away this year it has been harder than last year with my Mum not being as well as last year. I know Lisa misses her girls as well.
After dinner i went for a little walk to try and perk myself up from the tired and as we walked past the restaurant down the bottom we could some of the people from the Campsite and Cliff and Sue were playing there Mandalin. He had his microphone out and everything so i asked if we could come down and we all went down there for some profiteroles and some live music and had an absolute blast! It was so so so so so good and Clive upon my request finished off with Sweet Caroline and i played the drums for him. By drums i mean the wooden box he takes with him. I was a drumming revelation!
