Welcome to todays diary entry! Today was another Saturday like no other but this was partly our fault because of staffing levels although this was something out of our control. I have a guy currently on long term sick, the Dodge holidays was delayed by 2 weeks due to a minor passport issue, the 2 guys in the shop with me normally are both booked away on holiday. So on the front line today was me, Alan and a guy in customer service and with it being in the middle of a bank holiday i wasn’t too worried to be fair i was quite calm about the situation.
It just goes to show my forecasting skills need some work. Well, i was dead right until about 11am and then out of no where about 30 people all turned up in about 7 or 8 different groups. It is something that me an Alan often joke about to be honest we always say they must all meet up in Northwich for a coffee and then get a bus and all arrive at the same time. From then until about 3pm they just kept coming and it was literally queueing up to speak to someone, it was mental same sort of thing you get when you are at a show and just getting bombarded over and over again.

I think i had my porridge for breakfast about 3pm in the afternoon and then had my dinner straight after i was absolutely starving but i have lost about 11lbs now since i started trying to eat healthy and make my way down to 15 1/2 stone i don’t think i could get lower than that without doing exercise but i am not fussed about being that slim i just dont want to be out of breath whilst walking around and on the phone and i don’t want to have lower back pain. We are going to buy a proper proper proper mattress imminently as i want to have proper proper sleep on a proper mattress and not just foam and to be fair i have squashed my side down now and it is the thickness of an old flannel.
I have quite enjoyed my time having the Dodge away i will be glad to get my pal back but being able to operate the shop as i wanted to and without committee has been nice and hopefully it has allowed him some much needed time off. He is due back on Wednesday/ Thursday so we will see what he thinks of the shop. I think he will like and i don’t think he would tell me if he didn’t like he would probably incrementally change back to how he wanted it on my days off. I think he is probably a little more relieved that someone is just taking absolute control. I have always been an ask for forgiveness not for permission sort of person.
