Welcome to todays diary entry! Well, what a surprise that was and probably the biggest shock of my life! It all started this morning when the Fegan’s arrived, that wasn’t the surprise but it was absolutely brilliant to have them back and we had definitely missed them. I was hoping for UK contraband like pies etc but they bought……. Haggis. Lisa was buzzing me not so ha. But the best gift of all was those coming back and it had been quite quiet without them. They arrived about 1pm this afternoon so we were well glad they were back. Nothing had died in the garden and everything was still in tact. Mission accomplished on that front. But that wasn’t the big surprise.

We were due to make Paella today so i spent an hour or so in the motorhome preparing the paella before we were to cook it on the Cadac. So i started cooking about 17:30 and then got some WhatsApp from work asking me if i was free to jump on a zoom call at 18:00 Morocco time. We are just in the process of debating whether to recruit some more staff for coming season so i assumed it was about that. I was in the middle of cooking but it sounded important so i popped the Paella on low whilst i jumped on the zoom.

It was me, Gina (Jen, don’t ask), The Dodge and the Customer Service Manager Joe who was on it. It started and after the initial 3 or 4 minutes of preamble i was trying to hurry it along as we had guests here and i was cooking and didn’t want to ruin the Paella. So a couple of times i tried to say right what’s the point of this…. We were all on camera apart from the Dodge who was on black screen then all of a sudden out the corner of my eye i seen a guy walking down the side of my awning. There is nothing but a wall behind me so this wasn’t a walk through of any kinds.
So i walked to the window and realised it was a big stitch up and it was the Dodge, here, At Atlantica Parc in Morocco. I couldn’t believe it. We had always talked about him coming out here but we had said that the time had passed and i always assumed it would have been before Christmas. I couldn’t believe it, so then Paella had to wait i walked him around and showed him a bit of the Campsite the beach, as were walking around we seen a couple that bought a Pronto 4 PC from us which he thought was a stitch up. It was such an amazing surprise. We stayed out till about 20:30 eating Paella and then we took him down for Profits which were loved by all.
