Welcome to todays diary entry! I honestly can’t believe how quickly April is disappearing. Feels like I blinked and it went from “oh, we’ve just got back from Morocco” to “you’ve got four shows, a system launch, and a full shop remerch to do—good luck!” The whole month has just blurred past me in a whirlwind of diary entries, awning bags, and sticky labels.

And looking ahead… well, the pace isn’t exactly slowing down. In May, we’ve got two shows back-to-back, which is just asking for a knackered Rich by the end of it. Then boom—we’re into June. That’s when we’ve finally got our Cofton week away, and I am hanging onto that like a life raft.

But even June will fly by—we’re away for half of it. Then we’re into July, which has two shows crammed into three weeks. That’ll keep us flat out. After that, it’s August, and Roger’s off for nearly three weeks. By the time we catch our breath, we’ll be staring September in the face, getting everything ready for Busfest, and then comes the slowdown that always follows in the industry.

And once the NEC is done? It’s southbound again—Morocco calling.

It’s absolutely mad how fast the year is going. I feel like I’ve only just started getting over March, and now we’re already plotting out the end of the season. It’s always like this in this trade though. Once Easter hits, the calendar sort of collapses in on itself and every month feels like a week.

One thing I’m genuinely excited about is the Portugal plan in October. We’ve decided to have a few weeks in Castelo Branco on the way down to Morocco to scout it out. We want to see what the area’s like—how the weather holds up that time of year, what the land’s like, what kind of vibe the villages give off. It’s one thing looking at listings online, but you’ve got to feel the place, walk the soil, breathe the air. That trip’s going to be about finding our spot—our future. The homestead dream in motion. Well, i have absolutely no idea how to do any of those things but i guess the longest journey in the world starts with one single step.

🗓️ Cofton Countdown: 41 Days to Go
With the pace of life as it is, this break at Cofton is looking more and more like a golden ticket. I was mentally there this morning, imagining Rory tearing round the grass with Feegs egging him on, and me with a beer in hand, sat in a camping chair that’s finally not being used for admin or packing slips. Just peace. Just us. That’s the fuel in the tank right now.
