Welcome to todays diary entry! Can’t quite believe we’re almost at the end of March. Where on earth has this month gone? It’s absolutely flown by—but when I stop and think about everything we’ve packed into it, it makes sense why it’s felt like such a blur.
From a business perspective, we’ve had one of our best months in a long time. We kicked things off at full pace, coming straight off the back of the NEC show and diving headfirst into preparing the shop for our in-store event. We’ve had weekends on the shop floor by ourselves, warehouse duties, late-night tidies, and full showroom transformations. Honestly, when I think about what we’ve done this month alone, it’s exhausting just listing it out—but somehow, we’ve kept on top of it.

We also squeezed in a couple of really nice stays at Blakemere, which was not only a breath of fresh air but also a great opportunity to prep for the upcoming Blakemere show. I’ve measured fields, scoped layouts, and even managed to get a bit of promo work done with Outdoor Revolution while we were there. Somehow, we even found time for a few kebabs, a birthday party for my nephew, and plenty of fresh air for Rory—who seems to be getting better and better at walking with us rather than away from us!

On a personal level, I’ve carved out time for myself—something I’ve not been great at historically. I’ve been running regularly, sticking to it for three weeks now, and already feeling the mental and physical benefits. Sub-40 minute 5Ks, steam rooms, jacuzzis, and early mornings have all become a new part of my routine. Even the days I don’t run, just getting to the gym and having that time to reset has been huge for me.
We’ve also had a proper go at sorting our finances, making good on our promise when we returned from Morocco to tackle our debt head-on. It hasn’t been easy, but we’re finally turning a corner. The money struggles that loomed large at the start of the year are starting to ease, and we’re beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.
And somehow, despite the pace of it all, I feel better than I’ve felt in ages. Clearer, calmer, and a bit more in control. The shop’s looking the best it has in a long time, we’ve got good structure and momentum, and personally, I feel like I’m making small but meaningful improvements every day.
So yeah—March has flown by, but when you look back at what we’ve done, it’s no surprise. It’s been a busy one, but a brilliant one. Let’s keep the foot down and finish the month strong. Hopefully, the rest of spring and summer and the autumn follows a similar pattern.
