Welcome to todays diary entry! Today is the big prep day and we cannot wait to welcome them back. We have said that because they have been travelling and they will be tired that we will prepare a Paella for them. Mandy is quite partial to a Paella so it would be nice to have one of her favorite ready for her return. They are due back tomorrow about 11am so i need to walk into town and get all the stuff we needed. I have a little route that i take and i always order my chicken first from the chicken guy. This is mainly because sometimes he can take a little bit of time if he needs to either do the cut for me or to actual take a fresh chicken to get me what i needed.

Sometimes the chicken is much fresher than i am used to in the UK and i have learnt from my time in Morocco that chicken doesn’t always come in packets they are actually real chickens that fill those plastic tubs. If you are a bit squeamish then you are better off going to a supermarket than the local chicken guy. Sometimes it can be a bit like sea food restaurants where instead of choosing your own lobster you are choosing your own chicken. Once i have ordered my chicken i go 2 doors down to get my merguez as i probably have that for me dinner about 4 times a week with either pasta and arribiata sauce or gnocchi and arribiata sauce.

That little combo as well just happens to be the Beefs favorite meal as well and he just pushes it into his mouth sometimes with 2 hands and he absolutely loves it. he ends with arriabiata sauce all over his face. He makes so much mess and because he has just discovered tomato sauce as well that is another one of those things that he tries to give himself a red face mask with. He has now started to eat the tomato sauce with his finger.
I cannot wait for those guys to return and it has been a bit quiet with them. It has been super super quiet actually and we have finally managed ot watch all of Yellowstone now as well and wow what an ending to a series it was really really good. It has also been nice to spend a bit of time just us as well but i am still ready for them to return. I am almost back to full health now and i have not had a drink since they left so i may plan on breaking this little stretch of dry January for them to come home. We are super looking forward to them getting here.
