Welcome to todays diary entry! Club Fest Begins: The Calm Before the Crowds. Today kicked off our journey into Club Fest territory, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a smooth, almost luxurious, start to a show. Normally there’s some degree of chaos—digging through stock rooms, double-guessing what’s been packed, or trying to locate something that should’ve been on the van but somehow isn’t. Not this time. For once, the prep was almost meditative.

Because most of the stock for this event is coming direct from Brunner and Cadac, our workload was halved—if not more. I only had to spend an hour, maybe a little more, picking out the bits and bobs we needed to take ourselves. I prepped the van, got it loaded with chairs, kit, and some key demo stock, then left it all parked up neatly for the Dodge to grab later on. For the first time in ages, there was no manic last-minute scrambling. It felt… professional. Organised. Dare I say—grown-up?

By 5:30pm, we were on the road, heading toward Tarporley and the incredible setting of Bolesworth Castle. It’s a relatively short drive for us—nothing like the cross-country hauls we’ve done before—and with the sun still shining bright, it made for an easy, enjoyable trip. Honestly, it felt more like the start of a holiday than a trade event.

The location really does take your breath away. Bolesworth Castle is surrounded by sweeping countryside, ancient stonework, and postcard-perfect scenery. You know you’re somewhere special the moment you roll in. And the idea that this will be our base for five nights? Well, that’s a first. Usually, we’re in and out within a few days—CamperJam style—but Club Fest runs across the bank holiday weekend, so we’ll be here through to Monday night.

That longer stay might’ve felt daunting at another show, but here? With electric hook-up sorted and no solar/inverter headaches to worry about, it’s a dream. We can live in comfort, charge everything easily, and most importantly—power the air fryer. (If you know, you know.)

The vibe feels different this time. Calmer. More settled. Maybe it’s the venue, maybe it’s the extra time, or maybe it’s just that for once we’re not chasing our tails. I can feel the energy already—this show could be a big one for us. Sales aside, it’s the exposure, the connections, the relationships you build across a few long days that really matter. It’s a chance to show who we are, how we do things, and why people should remember the name.

Here’s hoping the weather holds out just long enough. The forecast looks like we’ll have to say goodbye to this early summer spell by the weekend, but for now, we’re soaking in every golden hour and revelling in how easy today has felt.

☀️ Cofton Countdown: 12 Days to Go! ☀️

It’s happening. The final stretch is here—just 12 days until we set off for our annual escape to Cofton. The anticipation is building now that we’re on the home straight.

Cofton isn’t just another trip. It’s a tradition. It’s where the chaos takes a pause, where we reset and recalibrate. The pace slows, the air gets saltier, and we swap showground stress for woodland walks and sea breeze serenity.

That said, we’ve still got this show to get through—and plenty of bits to wrap up before we hit the road—but knowing that Cofton is waiting at the finish line makes the next couple of weeks feel more manageable. We’re holding onto that image of Devon sunshine, rolling hills, and a few blissful days of just being still.

Let the countdown roll on…
