Welcome to todays diary entry! Today started off like many others in the sense of we got up early to get the Beef into this push chair to get him ready to take him on his morning walk but as I was out this morning i noticed that the bac wheel looked flat so i had a feel around and could see that there was definitely some kind of a puncture. Which as you can imagine planning a near 1000 mile route out of Morocco and to finding yourself increasingly apprehensive about your vehicles ability to do the basics. What makes it worse is the fact that I am an extremely nervous driving, not in the sense of driving, i love to drive but i am always worried that the motorhome is going to break down or something is going to go wrong with it.
It does feel a bit like it is just one thing after another after another at the moment. In the last month or so since we have had the Motorhome washed we have had to have the reversing camera fixed, fridge fixed, the steering looked at, the window seals redone and now the bloody tyre. Fortunately for me but not me pals on site they came around to help me look into and diagnose the problem. They both had a compressor pump something which is definitely on my shopping list as the one i had was crap and came with the motorhome when we had it. Plugging it in the PSI was 35 so we topped it back up to about 45 and Chris felt around the tyre and could feel a nail head. So i had a look and low and behold there was a nail sticking out but both were absolutely certain it could be fixed so that was the next step.

They suggested i drive down to the local tyre place and fortunately there is only one about 400 metres away. They suggested blowing tyres up to about 60 or 70 and then making my way down there but the thought of driving the moho down there with a flat tyre stirred up memroies of trying to get to the tyre place near Paris. So thought well i will walk down to the garage place tomorrow and see if someone can come and take it off and repair it bring it back and fix it. I cannot stress how much of a mechanical person i am not so the benefit of having those guys advise was invaluable and if i could pay a bit extra and have someone come and do it all for me it is worth its weight in gold.
Todays entry is not all doom and gloom however!! There was some good news for us, whilst i was messing around trying to sort the Moho out i discovered that we have a vehicle jack which i never knew before so that was a good find. I am going to source a spare wheel as well once back in the UK. That can be added to the list of things i definitely need to buy alongside a compressor pump thing for my tyres. The second good bit of news is that we have decided to get carpets in the motorhome. We have some at the back and a bit in the front but nothing in the middle, so we have bit the bullet and decided to get the whole thing done again with carpet in the cab area as well. I just like the thought of have carpet under foot whilst i am pottering about rather than the lino we have at the moment.
