Welcome to todays diary entry! Today felt like a strange kind of calm—the space between two storms. The rush of the North West Regional Meet is finally behind us, and while my legs still ache and my brain feels like it’s been on spin cycle, there’s that familiar sense of satisfaction that only comes after a solid show. But it’s also the moment to reset before the next climb, and Club Fest is looming fast.

Back at base, we’ve pretty much finished resetting the shop. It’s always surprising how a few days away can leave things feeling so out of sync. Boxes stacked in new places, stock that needs relabelling, bits of kit that never quite got returned to their proper home. It’s like the shop gets jet-lagged after every big event. But we’ve wrestled it back into shape today. Clean shelves. Clear walkways. We’re nearly there.

That said, I can feel the physical toll creeping in. The kind of tired that only shows up a couple of days later when your adrenaline finally dips. But there’s no real time to crash. The to-do list for Club Fest isn’t long, but it still needs ticking through—finalising the product list, checking on deliveries from Brunner and Cadac, getting the last few bits gathered and packed. It’s a smaller scale than the last show, thankfully, but it’s still a big one in terms of visibility.

This one matters. It’s our first Club Fest, and I want it to go right. It’s the kind of event that could really set a precedent for future shows—both in terms of trade and in terms of relationships. I keep reminding myself that showing up well-prepared and being present goes a long way. If we can show them that we’re professional, helpful, and—most importantly—good fun to have on the circuit, we might be booking this one in for years to come.

Rory’s been in a good mood today too, which always makes things easier. He’s clearly had a blast with the girls over the weekend, and now he’s getting back into his usual routine. He’s such a social little thing. The more people around, the more he thrives. He’s already asking when the next “adventure” is.

We’re starting to hit that part of the year where every week feels like an event. And in a way, it’s a strange rhythm. The shows break up the routine, but they also become the routine. Drive, set up, trade, break down, reset. Repeat. It sounds exhausting on paper—but when the sun’s shining, the team’s smiling, and the customers are happy… you do start to remember why you love it.

☀️ Cofton Countdown: 13 Days to Go! ☀️

Nineteen days to Cofton. That’s just two and a half weeks.

It’s creeping closer now—and I can almost hear the gravel under the tyres as we roll onto the pitch. We’ll get there and instantly switch gears. No stock to organise, no Luton van to return, no show plan to memorise. Just a cold drink, a bit of sun, and the simple joy of doing very little.

We’ve still got another hill or two to climb before then, but the finish line is in sight. Keep going. Cofton is coming.
