Welcome to todays diary entry! After the debacle of the delayed delivery yesterday, I finally managed to get my hands on the Outdoor Revolution prototype and got some photos taken. It took some chasing, but in the end, I got what I needed—another thing ticked off the list.

I had a bit of a lie-in this morning—well, a lie-in for me anyway. I woke up naturally rather than being jolted awake by Rory, the dog barking, or some random notification on my phone. I think I was asleep by about 9pm last night, so waking up at around 6:30am suddenly makes a lot more sense. Funny how that still counts as a lie-in these days, but I’ll take what I can get.

We’ve had some proper nice weather again today, which has helped keep the mood up. Sunshine always seems to lift everything, and Blakemere just has a certain charm when the light hits it right. There’s something peaceful about it that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the day properly.

Now, since we had that kebab for tea the other night, it’s all I’ve been able to think about. I’ve been craving another one ever since. I mentioned it to Lisa a few times today—testing the waters—and she kept saying she wasn’t having one. Firm no all day. But I knew she’d cave eventually, and sure enough, come tea time, she’d bottled it and ordered one too. Kebab night round two. Glorious.

On a more reflective note, I’ve really enjoyed these past few weeks where I’ve managed to carve out the odd day or two off. It’s made a huge difference to how I feel—mentally and physically. I feel fresher, more focused, and like I’ve got a bit more energy to give when I’m at work. Having that little bit of time to recharge properly, even if it’s just a morning walk, a gym session, or a quiet brew, has made all the difference.

I’m also in a really good place at the moment in terms of mindset. I’m still keeping up with the running, and I’m starting to see and feel progress, which is a big boost. It’s not just about fitness—it’s time to clear my head, to step away from everything else and just zone out for a bit. Add in a bit of time in the steam room and jacuzzi, and it’s hard not to feel like you’re winning at life—at least a little.

These past few days have reminded me how important balance is. Work is full-on, and I love it, but it’s these quieter moments in between that keep everything ticking. The goal now is to carry this rhythm into the busy weeks ahead and not lose sight of that.
