We have a confession to make, where the camper van should have sat had absolutely no shelter and was in some kind of a wind tunnel, there was no way i could risk putting the pop top up in that, it either would lifted the camper off the floor or ripped the pop top off the top of the camper. The site we were on had apartments and we opted to stay in there and keep the pop top down. The challenge is we cannnot really get the bed out with all of the stuff in there.
The restatraunt and the people in this place are so so so kind. The woman, i believe its hers and her husbands business would keep coming over and saying hello to Rory. He was the talk of the town. We asked for a menu for some food for dinner having not been able to find one or find one last night. We asked her for one, she said “what would you lieke?” We said pizza abd off she popped and came back about 35 minutes later with homemade pizza, which she had just whipped up for us, by hand. The hospitality we have experienced all the way from St Malo has been second to none, people cannot do enough for you. I do not believe for one second we would have received the same level of hospitality anywhere in the UK
As we had not put the pop toop up we decided to make our way to VIgo as we knew the weather there was going to start improving the next day. We somehow managed to turn a 90 minute drive into a 4 hour drive. I dont know how we manage to do it. But we do, everytime, we got to site and i have got the awning up etc so hopefully a decent day of weather and we can start to get it cleaned out and dried and tidy again, alongside the cxamper as well. It all needs a good airing due to the amount of moisture in condensation and the rain. Looking forward to having a good old tidy up and clear up. It is long overdue.
I hope you manage to sort things out and also have a nice day without the rain ..
You are doing so well . X
