Welcome to todays diary entry! I think it is time. I am ready! Late last night we made to decision to start to make our way out of Morocco officially via our usual route of L’Ocean Bleu in Mohammedia for a night then the final leg to Tangier Med port. The exact day we leave Morocco will depend on how quickly we can get our jobs done that we need to do. For example making sure we don’t have any dirty washing and making sure everything is ready to go and packed up properly.
Where we are can do same day pick up and drop off for the washing same day delivery so we will want to be up early getting stuff done. I do have to say that i am definitely ready now to get back into Europe but to be fair Gibraltar as much as anywhere else due to the ability to get some of my favourite foods. As i am a fussy eater i soon get bored of the food. The problem is that because i don’t like fish that pretty much wipes out 30% of Moroccan food. I also like sausage, bacon and pork products which it is difficult to get over here and if you can it is rather expensive.

I have said it before the only thing that makes me look forward to getting out of Morocco is only flies and the repetitiveness of the food. I like the thought of having bangers and mash with gravy without having to plan it a week in advance. So i have a pretty big list of things i want to eat relatively soon once i get into Gib. In no particular order – Chinese food, pie, KFC, Greggs, a curry made by someone else, sausage rolls, really nice crisps like watsits, skips, salt and vinegar discos, chip sticks. Then there is sweets as well as i love sweets things like fruit pastilles, Rowntree’s randoms and things like that.
Once we get into Gibraltar i will hopefully get to have 1 weekend day there and be able to take the Beef to see the Monkeys as when we were here last he was only a few months old so will be nice to restart doing the things that he would have been too small to remember. For those of you who have not been before and if you ever get chance Gibraltar is absolutely stunning. It is a little slice of the UK in the sun an uptown Benidorm. If Mum would let me i would try and do the whole drive tonight and sleep over at the port. My no driving at night rules only apply to smaller roads. I was also thinking how nice it will be to be comprehensively insured again rather than the third party only insurance of Morocco.
