Welcome to todays diary entry! Pack Down, Praise & Perspective. The final day of any show always comes with mixed emotions—relief that it’s over, pride in what we’ve achieved, and dread of the pack down. Today was no exception.

The sun was still shining, but that didn’t make dismantling everything any easier. If anything, the heat adds to the exhaustion. There’s something about the physicality of these events—loading up heavy kit, manoeuvring awning frames, and playing real-life Tetris in the back of a Luton van—that really takes it out of you, especially when you’re running on limited sleep, a diet of BBQ leftovers, and adrenaline.

That said, the pack down today went smoother than expected. Probably one of the most seamless we’ve had in a long time. There were no major dramas, not much missing stock, and the van—though packed to the rafters—closed up without us having to sit on it. That’s always a win in my book.

Sales-wise, the weekend exceeded expectations. Shifting some of those demo and bagged awnings was a real bonus. They’re not just bulky—they take up valuable space in the warehouse and don’t do us any favours just sitting there. We probably sold eight or nine awnings across the event, which is eight or nine more than last year here. You can really feel the traction building now we’re properly back on the road and getting back to face-to-face events.

But more than that, there’s a sense of momentum with the team too. Everyone pulled together—Kian was solid when he was here, Dodge was his usual reliable self, and even the family side of things clicked perfectly. Seeing the kids running around, playing freely, and the way everyone just falls into a natural rhythm—it reminds you what it’s all for. It’s not just about selling products. It’s about building a lifestyle and being part of a community.

We also got quite a few compliments from customers about how friendly and knowledgeable the team was, and those little moments of recognition go a long way. When you’re lugging frames in the sun and your legs feel like lead, hearing “You guys are always the best to deal with” puts a spring back in your step.

Now, with the van loaded and the site emptying out, I’m sat back in the motorhome reflecting on the weekend with a mix of pride and exhaustion. Show season isn’t easy—but it’s always worth it.

☀️ Cofton Countdown: 21 Days to Go! ☀️

We’re three weeks out from Cofton and if ever there was a time we needed that break, it’s now.

After today’s pack down, I can already picture us parked up in the sunshine, pint in hand, with Rory running wild and Mandy and Feegs sat next to us. Just knowing that week of calm is coming is enough to push us through the next round of chaos. The bags under our eyes might be growing, but so is our excitement.

Devon, we’re nearly ready for you.
