Diary Entry – 18th July 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! I do very very much enjoy going on a bit of adventure and it has been really nice today breaking up the last months of work with this little trip and to be honest i am really really enjoying it. Far more than i thought i would, i am not sure whether that is because i would have enjoyed being anywhere because i have worked so much or whether that is because Scotland is actually a really cool please. I would never tell Lisa but i actually think it is the latter.

One of the thing that has been good has been not setting an alarm and just waking up either when the Beef wakes up or when my body actually feels like it is time to wake and waking up on your own accord is such a brilliant especially when you have a 22 month old, nearly 23 month old. I did manage another little 30 minutes snooze on the back bed when we arrived at Glencoe visitor centre but i got woken up by said 23 month old with a slap on the face as that is normally a little game we play where i pretend to be asleep and snore and then he comes and wakes me up, i jump up and he laughs. He obviously assumed we were doing the same but he wasn’t greeted with the standard reaction as it took me about 9 seconds to sit up and to wipe the drool off of the corner of my mouth. Not a pretty site at all.

We woke at about 8am this morning and despite having a full day planned we didn’t really move too much from the motorhome until gone 11:30 as we just chilled and did some admin bits and bobs. I also covered the live chat for a couple of hours this morning as well as we had a member of staff down. When we finally left we went for a little walk up tot he little cafe by the big boat and Lisa had a coffee and i have a can of full fat coke (my coffee) and this rice crispie chococlate mars cake which was unreal.

We went to the sea life centre after making our donation to the boat for our stay and after that we made our way from Balloch to Glencoe which was a wonderful drive apart from the bit where you are driving alongside Loch Lomond as those roads are a bit tight. It was one of the only times i was happy to sit behind a lorry who was just carving up the traffic and i followed him on. We got there about 3:30 fed the beef and i had a snooze. By the time we found a gap in the rain to have a look around the visitor centre but as soon as we got in there we were getting turfed out as it closed at 5pm. It was only then a 30 minute drive to our Fort William stop and we hunkered down and got an early night again. These early nights and late mornings are for me!
