Diary Entry – 16th March 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Another day has been spent treating it like a holiday. The thing is it is so so so so easily done. Especially when the weather has been as good as it has. It made its way up to 33 degrees yesterday which means 2 things. Firstly, it was about 17 degrees too hot, secondly that meant that we spent a vast majority of the day sat inside the motorhome under the air con. Unlike the previous day we had not managed to get a team communal snooze as the Beef fell asleep earlier than expected.

Can tell in this picture i have treated the last few days like a holiday. I look tired.

He also fell asleep horizontally on the back bed meaning that no one could have the privilege of a nap. That was the benefit of trying to get him down in his own bed but as he fell asleep considerably faster than we were expecting and once he is asleep there is absolutely no chance that i am risking moving him so that was it, the afternoon snooze dream was kiboshed. I was ok for it despite me sleeping poorly overnight. However Mum felt a little delicate this morning so it was mainly for her benefit.

We had the displeasure of watching Stoke on the TV and despite a little reprieve last week or so we soon managed to find a way to make me miserable again. The only consolation was that everyone around us had a bad weekend as well so we have not really lost out on anything other than those 3 points lost which always hurt more at home would have lifted us well clear of the danger zone. I still feel we will be ok and have a couple of weeks off now with an international break but then we have a tough game at Hull away followed by an absolute 6 pointer at home to Huddersfield who are really in mither.

We were 3 nil down by 16:20 so we went over to the pool area to have a beverage to cheer myself up and we ended up spending most of the evening there and we decided to have some food down there and it is the first time we have properly had some food down there. I wanted a Kefta Tagine and some Tacos that we were going to share but unfortunately there dropped a huge egg in the middle of the Tagine which instantly rules it out for me despite us asking for no egg. The sauce on the Tagine was nice to be fair and i would definitely have it again as long as there were no eggs in it. The Tacos were also some of the very best i have had over here. We will definitely be eating there again.
