Welcome to todays diary entry! I have been thinking about the whole getting emotional thing when turning up yesterday and i think i have gotten to the bottom of it. I think it was a culmination of being a bit tired and getting here isnt like any other holiday or any other trip it is 2 continents, it is 2 ferries, 2500 miles pretty much by the time you get here and especially with me being quite an anxious owner of a motorhome as well just such a sense of relief and all in the knowledge that we are going to be here for 5 months and all the planning we have done up until now has been for this.
The thing is now we are set up, we have the awning set up, carpet out, table and chairs out, the grey water going into a man made ditch and fresh water hooked up to a tap. For all intense and purposes we are on a serviced pitch now and we are cooking on gas. We have the Cadac set up in the awning with a kettle on, we have the 12v compressor fridge under one of the tables and everything is pretty much in the garage and the great thing was that everything worked exactly how i wanted it to work and it just goes to show that all of the planning worked and worked well!

We were even saying earlier on today actually that when you have a set up like how ours is and with an awning etc it is as good as a house. With the exception of having to empty your own toilet but nothing is ever perfect. It definitely 100% feels like home though and today it was nice to get the Beef in his push chair and to do our first 5k walk and get one of them under our belt. It is also the annual we are going on a diet and living a healthy lifestyle kick and the yearly promise of starting to run again. I don’t think i will run as i don’t think my bloody knees could take it anymore but i certainly think i could lose some weight. I weighed myself the other day actually and was relatively chuffed that i only weighed 16st 10.
We have managed to see everyone we wanted to see in the first few couple of days. That includes 1 ear the dog, who know is sporting a blue plastic ear ring. It also appears as though there is some baby 1 ears but with 2 ears. We have seen Boris and also seen a baby Boris, Boris is still grumpy and baby Boris is lovely. We have seen Mac a couple of times. We even booked a trip into Agadir today so we could head off the Uni Prix and the French meat market but the market was shut as it is having some building work done. I tell you what there is loads and loads and loads of building works going on here. I think it is all in prep for the world cup which is being shared between Portugal, Spain and Morocco.
They are putting some much work into the infrastructure and even more work into the litter picking side of things as well, there is no where near as much litter lying around as there was in March. It is great to see!
