The novelty of the storm soon wore off as everything was absolutely soaked outside the camper. Trainers, the awning bag, everything, it was still raining as well and we were caught out by it. I tried to take the wee man for a walk but the drizzle was too much and all around the site was a muddy sandy type stuff which was a nightmare to try and get the push chair through. So back I popped and we rushed to get the camper packed, after all today was the day we had planned to get the 3 natural wonders done. We spent an age trying to find a boat trip that was running but due to another one of those coastal events they were all cancelled. Nightmare. The whole point of travelling here was to be able to get them done, in a row, to make it one way whilst heading to Sevilla.
We then tried to make a proper plan for the next day, we decided to move closer to one of the locations where we can the boat leaves. The only problem being is that it was beyond Piedade. That meant we would have to come back on ourselves again. We had made an absolute hash of this.
Never the less off we set to a place called Portimao and it’s wild what a difference being sunny makes to how pretty a place is. It’s not a very nice looking place and we stayed the night at a Lidl and it was a free aire and was about a mile from the town. We went out for tea and the food was nice but a bit over the top. The ham on my pizza was very strong and the lasagne Lisa had was overly creamy so not our cup of tea. However on the walk back we listened to Stoke on the radio and got a decent result for a change. Every cloud, hopefully get on a boat tomorrow!
