Welcome to todays diary entry! We are literally so close now to Agadir you can almost smell the sea air. The only dilemma we had today was at which point do we go, do we sit it out here for another day and then make our way on Saturday morning or instead do we pack up tonight and then head off early in the morning. I was in the market for an early dart but Mum was wanting to head off on Saturday. So as you can imagine the plan was set for Saturday! That was until we got a message form one of our friends who had turned up at Agadir already. I will go into that in a bit more detail later on.
This is definitely one of our favorite places being here the campsite is so nice but one thing i have noticed and this is not just Morocco it has also been Spain all the way down with the exception of Santander just how many flies there are everywhere. I always expect there to be a few more flies in Morocco but to be fair Spain was horrendous with them especially the Gibraltar park up it was absolutely wild. With the heat they can be quite bad here sometimes but they did seem a little worse than i have known them before.

I have always assumed it is because of the heat but here outside of the campsite walls it isn’t like the inside part of the campsite. It is a little bit rougher around the edges. It is perfectly fine to walk through and me and the Beef went out on our own to do some shopping in the market to get a few bits of veggies and some fruit. Talking about the flies though, at least they are not the little black bitey ones that you tend to get over here they just seem to be little fruit flies. I just wonder whether it is because of how the weather has been this year whether it has impacted when they have hatched etc.
It was nice to lots of the convoy turn up and trade stories of there drive through Casablanca and for some of them it looks as though it had scarred them. Driving in Morocco is absolutely an experience. We sat around Neil and Vivs and had some drinks until Lisa’s phone dinged and she called me over tot he motorhome and it was a text from one of our friends who had arrived in Agadir and the message said “if you are planning on getting here, id maybe make it quite soon. I arrived today and given a list of about 50 places that are already booked”. That was enough me for, i started packing the motorhome up ready for an early departure tomorrow. I wasn’t taking any chances. I am going. I am gone.
