Welcome to todays diary entry! For the first time since we left in March this year we took the Beef to Croco park. This is his 3rd time now and it is brilliant to see how different he has been each time to when we came last time and he was in the push chair for 99% of it to see him zooming about now almost doing what ever it takes to not have to go in his push chair. In fact it is safe to safe that he actually almost dislikes his push chair unless it is about 3pm in the afternoon in which case he knows it is time for a sleep and he sort of clambers in and then before we have done one lap of the campsite he is fast asleep.

We hyped this up a bit for him (Croco Park) and he was getting excited he kept walking around saying ‘snap’ as that is the noise that crocodiles mouths make when they close obviously. Outside there is a huge crocodiles head that you have to walk through to get into reception. Everything about this place is a surprise. When we came for the first time we had literally zero expectations and expected it to be rubbish. It is cheap to get in and for adults it is 90dhm which is £7.20 and for the Beef it is 60dhm which is £4.80 so for the 3 of us it is a little over £20 but once you get in it is absolutely brilliant. There are literally hundreds of crocodiles just swimming around.

As you would imagine with the name Croco park there is a lot of emphasis on them but actually for me they are not the best part. You essentially walk around a path around a couple of big lakes with lots of crocs in it but part away round there is an incredible garden area with amazing trees and flowers and stuff. The gardens honestly are incredible. There’s more, even better than the crocs, even better than the gardens, even better than the frog ponds. About half away around there is another set of gates that you walk through and with that you walk into like a bit of an artificial desert area with lots of fake rocks and fake cliffs and it sort of feels like what you imagine the grand canyon to feel but on a much smaller scale.
You don’t see it straight away but you see one then it is like you eyes change and before you know there are literally hundreds of iguanas and chameleons just sat on these rocks and just walking around across the paths and all sorts. That for me is the best bit and partly because you are not expecting it but also you just don’t see them straight away and then they all just sort appear in your eye site. It is so weird but honestly that bit is our favorite. On the way back from Croco park we called into the Carrefour to get some food and stuff. The taxi driver who is our taxi driver of choice now and we use him for everything drove us there which is about 40 minutes away, waited for us for 3 hours, then drove us to the Carrefour and then back to the campsite and charged only 400dhm which is £32 so i gave him 500. So for 6 hours of literal personal chauffeur cost us £40 for about 7 hours of his time. He is so nice as well so i always make a point of recommending him to people on site.
