Welcome to todays diary entry! Today we made one hell of a big call! What started off with a debate about going for a Sunday whilst i was lying on the back bed which we ended up doing but it was what happened after we had eaten that was a big decision. I will come back to that later on. We started the day as i have threatened to start every Sunday for the last few weeks as we get closer and closer to departure but as it stood at the start of the day it was 2 weeks until we leave.
After id done about an hours of work i was planning on going to a butchers in Northwich and that lead us onto Sunday dinners and whether we could find somewhere near by that would deliver us a Sunday dinner as i didn’t really feel like going out out for something to eat. Although in the end i got talked around into it. There was anywhere near by that had a play area for the Beef so we ended up making do with the Stanley Arms just up the road. We ordered 3 Sunday dinners, well 2 and a half because he had a child’s one.

Im not sure whether it is because i had such big expectations based on previous meals here and because it had been such a long time before I’d had a Sunday dinner but i was left quite disappointed with what we had. It was ok just not as good as what i was expecting. Although i ate it all and like i say it was ok but just didn’t quite do it for me. So after the food Beef fell asleep and we started looking at the pictures in our phone and i said i wonder how much extra it would cost to bring the ferry forward. So buy the time we had tinkered with it it was going to cost and extra £9 to change the date again. Bearing in mind this is the 2nd or 3rd time now we have changed.
That then meant a message straight over to the Dodge because there is no way i would have done it without checking with him first. I tentatively approached the subject in my usual tactful style by saying “when are you due back in work after the NEC?”. This is the also the 2nd or 3rd time that i have inadvertently tried to bring forward my departure date but i always said i wouldn’t go before the NEC. He said that he would be back in no later than Tuesday which was ideal because the ferry we had eyed was on the Wednesday. So after a little bit of back and forth he begrudgingly ok’d the departure date being brought forward. I don’t know why as it is only 4 days but that made a huge phycological difference to how close the ferry seemed. So there we go. All eyes on the 23rd October.
