Welcome to todays diary entry! Fortunately the Dodge didn’t come back last night and just headed straight home so no unloading of the remains of the van last night or today either. So today was straight out of the frying pan and in back into the pan of the shop and getting into that. I have been so tired and these shows do really take it out of you. So trying to get some rest and recover whilst having one eye on the weekend coming up as we have another show again means that there is very little restbite.
For the first time we have had a bit of luck with the weather as when we had set off from Nottingham yesterday the rain was just about to make its way over and the rain today has been pretty poor as well. As long as it stays sunny for the weekends then i don’t mind, or sunny for the times we are at shows. We are in Preston for a CACC rally next weekend. It used ot be held at Arley Hall but that is now being held much further North. As soon as we get 10 days away from a show we always add the location into out weather app and then track it daily. The weekend coming up looks ok, a bit of rain on Thursday and Friday but weekend should be ok.

When you watch it daily you wouldn’t believe how much the weather report changes and how much it can vary. It has gone from being rain for the entire time to some sun, to all sunny and then a bit of both. I honestly have come to the belief that they don’t have a clue until the day or so before and they just say whatever they want and only start to change it once they actually have an idea. For example there is no way in this country you can accurately predict a 10 day weather forecast, all you can say is some summery showers and weather will be mild. Which it will always be but not being able to predict entirely one way or the other.
It is the same as Agadir, the weather report always looks the same for the next 15 days but only when it starts getting closer do you then notice that actually it may be cloudy today or it may be raining. But Preston as it stands it should be ok. It will be the first time i have done this show and apparently it is not like the other ones that we do it is much it is a regional rally so these people have been coming to these rallies for years and seeing the same people so will feel more like a village fete. Will be nice to hopefully have a slower paced show.
