Diary Entry – 13th April 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! As we near our final destination and one of our most northern points in our return we will be spending most of our time in the North West but we have done some errands today to prepare us for our return. There is a little retail park near here that has a Halfords and some other shops so we made our way up there. there is also a huge Tesco’s and this was our first time back in a proper UK supermarket. We called in Halfords first as I wanted to get some engine coolant as I am not sure if I have a leak with it somewhere. I am pretty certain that there is a problem with the motorhome in that regard.

I don’t normally post the same picture twice but this is a belter!

I do seem to put a lot in and sometimes when i drive away there is a little puddle on the fllor but from looking under the bonnet that could just be condensation from having the air conditioning on whilst driving. So i bought enough enjoy coolant to get me around the world and back several times as i am a really anxious driver about something going wrong with the Moho so that will put my mind at ease. The motorhomes MOT will be due for its first MOT in June but i wouldnt mind getting it into a garage before then anyway just to get someone to check over it and give it the all clear.

We wont be doing too many miles throughout the summer and a vast majority of those miles will be driving to and from shows that we will be working or going on holidays. We finally had a decent customer experience here at breakfast time. It was a really simple problem to fix and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. A lot of the time that is how it should be done. Essentially the Spanish barman didn’t understand Mums Scottish accent and missed her breakfast off the order. We didnt pay for it as it was a simple misunderstanding. When we asked the guy where it was, he went and checked came back apologised and said it is on its way and it was on the house. I didnt mind paying for it, but sometimes just hearing someone say “we have messed up, we are sorry” is enough. Rather than trying to bulldoze your way through and accent zero responsibility.

The food so far has been pretty good although we have only eaten up there twice as it is quite expensive but it was nice when i had a spicy chicken burger. Although i think they did forget to add the spicy sauce but it was nice. The breakfast was lovely as well. I have the same thing every single time and although it is hard to mess it up it was still really nice. Mum enjoyed hers as well. The Beef just eats anything irrespective of the quality of the food and he loves toast and sausages.
